| FLOCCULANT
Modular flocculant mixing and addition for optimum solids loading, rise rates and underflow rheology.
Flocculants are polymers that promote flocculation by formation of bridges between themselves and solid particles, promoting suspended particle to aggregate. As suspended particles are flocculated into larger ones, they are settled in devices like thickeners and removed with the underflow.
Flocculants accelerate the settling process, which lead to improved settling rates and use of smaller equipment.
operational and technology benefits
Full automation with zero operator intervention
Skid-mounted design to reduce installation time
Pre-engineered units to limit delivery times
Simplified design to lower maintenance and operating costs
Treatment of liquid and power polymers
Efficient wetting of flocculant to minimize waste
Agnostic to polymer brand selection
Flocculation is employed for a variety of applications from mineral processing to waste water treatment and purifications, including:
- Concentrate and tailings
- Thickeners
- Water treatment plants
- Filtration aid(s)
- Sewage applications
- Treatment of industrial waste water streams
- Clarification processes
CECMS can supply a range of modular flocculant plants that are sized based on the rate of consumption of flocculant up to 60 kg/h.
The main components of the fully automated flocculant plants include:
Multiple compartment steel tank system
Galvanized walkway, staircase and handrails
Make-up tank mixers and valves
Flocculant bin with screw-feeder system
Stainless steel flocculant wetting head arrangement
Dosing pumps with base frame
Control panel in IP65 protection
Relevant automatic valves and inter-connecting piping
